Yes, I recommend this vehicle.
Pros This car will run forever! Amazing ride! Quiet! Easy to change oil on! Great travel/work car! Low cost of ownership. Extremely tight and sharp steering! Easy to see out of.
Cons Limited features, not very sporty, difficult to find one with low miles, awkward drink holder, Radio could be better, long and narrow profile. Lumina model has been discontinued.
General CommentsI purchased my Lumina brand new in 1998! Best car I have ever owned. In fact, it beats my 2007 Impala on gas mileage, quality, RIDE QUALITY, and ultimately value. My Lumina has 249,000 miles on it. Still (knock on wood) no trouble! I had to replace some electric idle sensor (excuse me for my lack of mechanical knowledge) I changed the oil ever 3,000 miles, and the standard tune-ups every 80,000 miles. I hope to have this car for a long time yet! I will greatly miss it when I sell. You probably will have to pay a little more for one, but no other car will out last one. (except, maybe a Buick) I remember test driving a Buick Regal, but the Lumina was a better value for me. Great decision. Unbelievable ride, I can not repeat myself enough! Thank you GM for such a nice car!
