General CommentsI purchased it used in 2008 because I needed a reliable and long-lasting highway vehicle. I was not disapointed. In fact it drives better than my 2002 Mustang, better agility and superior acceleration. The car (any BMW) absolutely needs to wear good tires or the vehicle will shake like a clothes drier - even if balanced! Its tight grip to the asphalt is absolutely awsome and comforting. At 200,000 miles, it remains an extremely reliable engine and systems, never had a problem other than changing front suspension ball joints (regular maintenance), though the rust generated from salted winter highways is taking its toll on the underside.
Cons: No cup-holders; windshield wipers generate a lot of noise on the highway; rear wheel drive is horrendous on snow and non-functional on ice.

Pros Got better gas mileage than the reports. Drove this SUV to Colorado so much leg room, space and handled fabulous in the snow and ice!
This was a huge surprise and an exceptionally comfortable ride. I am a woman and drove the whole way. Great car.
Cons too bad it is so expensive.
General CommentsThis was a great rental through AVIS and I would consider buying this car. I would have never known about this vehicle, otherwise.
