Yes, I recommend this vehicle.
General Comments Having been a Toyota driver for 15+ years, I was cautious about the Jeep. This vehicle was purchased used with 16000 miles on it but still feels like brand new. It is fast, Quiet, and an animal in the snow. Once I got the right set of Nokian tires on it, it is the best all weather vehicle I have owned.

No, I do not recommend this product.
General Comments The following account is to inform you - the potential new Jeep buyer - in the decision process if you are considering a Jeep:
I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee in January of 2013. It was a current year model in Limited trim. It came with the standard 3.6L V-6 with an automatic transmission. The car was maintained to better standards than was specified in the owner’s manual. All was well until 8/29/14 with approx. 31,000 miles. The car went into “limp” mode while driving at 30 mph in rush hour traffic. When traffic stopped, the transmission was shifted through its gear range, and the engine was stopped. At restart, the transmission was still in second gear –limp mode – and was driven approx. 100 yards. At this point, the transmission ceased to function, as even park was not available. The Jeep was pushed onto the shoulder, and the tow truck was called. The Jeep was flat-bedded to the dealer. The dealer stated that it was full of metal shavings and 3.5 weeks elapsed until they had permission from Chrysler/Fiat/the Pope or whomever to replace it. Yes, it is under warranty. It was also NATIONALLY BACK ORDERED. 6 weeks later, it left the Jeep dealership. Yes, I am aware that there is a warranty and that there are 12,500 parts in a car. I also know that 6 weeks to replace a transmission is ridiculous. The customer service people at Jeep all say the same thing: “Gee, that’s a shame. We are really sorry. Please buy another.” No one will offer an explanation as to why the transmission is nationally backordered, Why am I supposed to wait this long to get my Jeep back and what recourse is there? No one will try to explain why company policy is to soft-pedal and miss-inform the consumer at all levels. I was referred back to the dealership, and they referred me to customer service. Its like dealing with a politician: deny, deny, deny and make deflecting accusations, admit to nothing. Yes, I spoke with a “customer service representative”, his supervisor and am awaiting a call from the next link in the chain of command. Just like the Rolling Stones: “I can’t get no satisfaction.”
Just so you know, I am a car guy (read: gear head), this being my 31st car. I have also worked in the industry and know my way around a car and a dealership. I have owned 5 Jeeps, this being the 6th and have always believed that they are the final word in reliability. NOT ANY MORE! Please, do yourself a huge favor: DO NOT BUY A JEEP!
